Career Aspirations

Hi All,

I created this blog to improve my writing and to not be afraid to share my thoughts and feelings to the world. Here goes...

Life is been a bit hectic lately. Talk about having lemons thrown at me. Career-wise, I have been trying to get started on building my career and frankly, it has taken a lot longer because I really don't know where to begin or what to do with my life.

To figure out what I want to do, I've been having informational interviews with people who are doing what I think I might want to do. Since January, I have spoken to ten individuals all roughly in the 30s and 40s about career development. Many of them just knew what they wanted to get into and they followed their hearts while others are just as confused as me.

The general censenus I received from everyone is to "explore" try many things out and "have passion for what you do" and you'll never have to work another day in your life.

Things I know about myself is: I'm a people, I'm honest (can't lie at all), a hard worker and I like doing something creative and where the work environment is flexible. Doing something that incorporates my language abilities and where I can travel would be a plus too.

Where do I find such a job (I mean a career)?? Thoughts anyone?
